Hello and welcome to Alexandra Park Junior School’s SEND zone. Here at Alexandra Park we aim to ensure that EVERY child achieves to their fullest potential.
Miss Varley is our SENCO and leads the Pastoral Team in school. The pastoral team includes Miss Thompson, Mr Clarke, Miss Yasmin and Miss Corry.
Miss Varley liaises with pupils, parents, teachers and external agencies to ensure that our children’s additional needs are met.

If a parent has a concern or complaint regarding Special Needs, they are encouraged in the first instance to meet with the SENCo. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily the Headteacher should be notified.
If the concern is not resolved, parents have the right to ask for an examination of the complaint by the Governing Body.

Family Information Service
The Family Information Service (FIS) provides free, impartial, up-to-date information to support parents / carers with children and young people aged 0-20 years and prospective parents.
We provide information on a wide range of services such as:
